home_dancerBAMBA – Birmingham and Midlands Belly-dance Association are bringing together a fantastic line up of dancers and teachers for Birmingham’s first ever Belly Dance Festival. This festival will include classes, workshops and performances from international professionals as well as an evening of entertainment from the stars of Belly Dancing.

The event will take place at the Dance Exchange which is within the Hippodrome Complex in Birmingham. There will be a wide range of workshops each focusing on different aspects of belly dancing such as veil and arm movement, solo drum techniques and taster session for the beginners.

Once you’ve raised your heart rate with a few workshops and lessons, you can head off to the Souk – a traditional market – where you can buy all sorts of belly dancing aids such as music, costumes and jewellery]

If your not one for partaking in belly dancing, but still enjoy watching it, the evening will make room for the spectacular gala show. The show will be performed by both midlands and international stars. These Including internationally acclaimed Turkish dancer Ozgen and Fereshteh winner of Miss Stockholm Belly Dance Festival and the Nile Group Festival Belly Dancing Competition 2010.
