birmingham-christmas-ballApparently so!  Those of you who don’t hang out with your nan on Sundays probably don’t realise this – but old people are hip.  And I don’t mean hip pain or hip replacement.  I mean: Just. Plain. Hip.  My nan has always been a bit of a groovy oldie.  She’s up at 6am every morning doing ‘Tai Chi for Beginners’ (available in most good DVD stores) and then she walks to Mcdonalds (classy lady) to meet a bunch of other old biddies for a coffee.  And trust me when I say that a big gang of curly haired wrinklies chillin’ at Maccy D’s on Chester Road in Erdington on a Sunday afternoon is definitely the cutest thing you will ever see.

This Christmas, your gran and grandad can get in the cool crowd too.  If you’re grey-haired and knocking on abit, or you know a bunch of people who are about to pop their clogs (sorry, not the most politically correct idiom), then why not take a look at the Birmingham Christmas Ball for Over 50s? On the 20th December, there will be a fantastic afternoon of dancing and Christmas celebrations @ The Quinborne Community Centre.  Birmingham’s dedicated festive fogey bash is an all dancing day of Christmas groove…

If you’re over 50 and want to celebrate Christmas with a pair of dancing shoes then come along to Birmingham’s Quinborne Community Centre at 2:30 pm on Sunday 20th December.  Yep, it starts early so you can snooze later!

The Community Links Christmas Ball in Birmingham will have a guest appearance by the Funky Feet School of Dance, and you can enjoy nibbles, refreshments and of course (it wouldn’t be the same without) a raffle!!! You must book to secure your place – call 0121 675 0911 now.
