Reindeer and Lantern Parade, Birmingham

| No CommentDo you believe in Santa Claus? I don’t. I did – until the year of 1989 when I saw my Dad chomping away on the mince pie and milk that I had left out for Father Christmas. When I saw the bottle of Bell’s whisky back in the cupboard I originally sourced it from, I knew that St. Nicholas had not visited and warmed himself up with a couple of festive shots. I asked my parents to explain the strange series of events, but they were speechless…
But these revelations never stopped me from writing my letter year after year. Even when I became an adult, the Christmas Eve celebrations (2 for 1 in the local boozer) always ended before midnight. God Forbid if I ever accidentily walked in on Santa squeezing down my chimney. So even today, Christmas Eve is all about getting Cinderella (me) home before midnight.
Whether you still believe in Santa, or you had your bubble burst many years ago (like myself), come along to the Reindeer and Lantern Parade in Birmingham. It’s full of festive cheer – for believers, realists, or big kids who just want to feed the reindeer! The magic of Christmas will be returning to Birmingham on Sunday 15th November with the wonderful Reindeer and Lantern Parade. Starting at 4:30pm, this hour long parade starts on High Street, moving onto Brindley Place, via New Street and Broad Street.
The Reindeer and Lantern Parade in Birmingham will feature Santa and his reindeer, marching bands, street entertainment and fun pantomime characters. This event is free of charge. For more information, call 0121 303 3008.
