| 2 CommentsChristmas is coming, the goose is getting fat, please don’t miss out on the Frankfurt Christmas Market… (yes, I know it doesn’t rhyme!)
Year after year, people return to the Frankfurt Christmas Market in Birmingham. Millions of people visit the famous market to soak up the Cinnamon-scented atmosphere and join the festive hustle and bustle to taste the deliciously acclaimed German sausage. Can a sausage really taste that good? Yes.
In the cold Christmassy air, with a spiced hot apple, in the crowds of woolly hats and winter coats, a German sausage tastes like a little preview of food heaven. But it’s not just the grilled sausages, gingerbread nibbles, marzipan sweets and the Glwein mulled wine that brings millions of visitors to Birmingham every year. People love the Frankfurt Christmas Market for – what else – shopping!
The Frankfurt Christmas Market 2009 will be full of festive stalls, where you can shop for unusual handmade gifts, jewellery, scented candles, ceramics and stunning glasswork. You will also be able to find traditional German toys and other unique Christmas gifts.
This celebrated Christmas Market started in Frankfurt all the way back in 1393. Many of the original sweet treats sold back in Medieval times, such as gingerbread, marzipan and other delicacies, are still available today. If you want to taste these original goodies from 1393 Germany, come along to the Frankfurt Christmas Market 2009 at Victoria Square in Birmingham.
